Russian cable operator Akado has revamped its TV offer to allow customers to choose individual thematic packages rather than be forced to take a compulsory basic offer.
Akado subscribers will now be able to choose one or more of six packages covering cinema, kids, sport, interests, knowledge and a mixed package. The cinema package will cost RUB290 (6.60), while the other packages will cost RUB80 each.
Akado also plans to adopt a new frequency plan over the summer to improve the quality of reception of its digital channels. the operator currently has about 320,000 digital and 900,000 analogue subscribers.Â
