BT Vision boosts retail division

UK telco BT’s BT Vision hybrid IPTV service had 423,000 customers at the end of March. BT said the average number of customer views for the service in March was 30 per subscriber.

BT delivers on-demand content over its IP network while broadcast content is delivered via the Freeview digital-terrestrial platform.

BT Vision helped partially offset a 3% decline in BT Retail revenue to £2.101bn (€2.3bn), driven by an 8% decline in calls and lines. BT net broadband additions numbered 99,000, taking its total to 4.8 million.
