Telekom Austria slows down fixed-line decline

Telekom Austria achieved a slowdown in the rate of losses to its fixed net access line division in the first quarter, losing just 8,000 lines in the three months to March. The operator recently signed up its 75,000th IPTV customer.

On the downside, Telekom Austria saw its revenues decline by 5% to €1.197m, thanks to lower fixed revenues and flat mobile revenues. EBITDA fell by 6.4% to €454.8m, due to a weaker contribution from the mobile sector.
