Spanish telco TelefÃ³nica had 2.3 million pay-TV customers globally at the end of March, up 25% year-on-year, driven by Latin America where it has over 1.6 million TV customers. The company has pay-TV operations in Spain, the Czech Republic, Peru, Chile, Colombia, Brazil and Venezuela.
TelefÃ³nicaÂs domestic fixed-line revenues were flat year-on-year, while OIBDA fell by 3.8% to Â1.463bn. TelefÃ³nica said its share of the Spanish pay-TV market remained steady at 14%.
