History expands in Czech, Slovakia



The History Channel has expanded its presence in the Czech Republic and Slovakia after its parent company AETN signed a carriage deal with satellite pay-TV operator Skylink.

The History Channel HD will also launch via the service later this month. The History Channel airs across the region in Poland, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia and Slovenia and already operates via the Self Servis and Smart Comp pay-TV services in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The broadcaster will air a range of factual programming including Ice Road Truckers, Cities of the Underworld and Battles BC.
