MGM signs Middle East deal

MGM Worldwide Television, a division of Hollywood studio MGM, has signed its first pan-Middle Eastern pay-TV and VOD agreement with Showtime Arabia.

The licensing agreement marks MGM’s first VOD offer for the region and means Showtime Arabia subscribers in the Middle East and North Africa will have access to MGM’s film library. Under the terms of the five-year agreement, Showtime Arabia will carry titles including Quantum of Solace, Rocky Balboa and Lions for Lambs.
