Discovery appoints communications chief

Factual broadcaster Discovery Communications has appointed Chance Patterson as vice-president of international communications, Discovery Networks International.

Patterson will be responsible for the development and implementation of all communications strategies for Discovery Networks International. He will oversee internal and external communications across the division, coordinating closely with the company’s regional operations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia-Pacific to develop strategies and tactics for Discovery’s programming, networks and products. Patterson joins Discovery from Sirius XM Radio where he was vice –president of corporate communications.
