Blinkx and Miniweb sign video pact

Online video search service Blinkx has signed deal with interactive TV specialist Miniweb that will enable TV viewers to search for broadcast and internet video from multiple sources using Blinkx’s index of 35 million hours of content.

Miniweb, a specialist in providing interactive internet content to the TV, will use Blinkx’s software for video search, syndication, recommendations, targeting and personalisation as part of its online services platform. Blinkx has indexed more than 35 million hours of audio, video, viral and TV content, and made it fully searchable and available on-demand.
