Unitymedia modernises Ahlen network

German cable operator Unitymedia has completed the modernisation of its network in the town of Ahlen.

The upgrade means that about 22,500 households in the town will be able to receive triple-play services.

Separately, Unitymedia is to extend the broadcast hours of culture channel Arte to 24 on its analogue tier in Hesse from May 12. Business news channel Bloomberg TV will henceforth only be available on the digital tier.
