ITV Player helps Virgin Media hit 58 million VOD views

UK cable operator Virgin Media has revealed there were over four million views of ITV programmes via the ITV Player catch-up service in March.

ITV Player, which started as an online service, launched on the cable platform in February and managed to rack up over four million views in its first full month. That helped Virgin Media notch up a record total of 58 million on-demand views in March.
ITV Player enables users to watch over 40 hours of previously aired programming from ITV1, 2, 3 and 4 each week.
