Croatia’s MAXtv passes 150,000 subscribers

Croatian telco T-Hrvatski Telekom’s (T-HT) MAXtv pay-TV service had 150,953 customers as of March 31, up 167.9% year-on-year. MAXtv grew by 15,380 subscribers in the first three months of the year, or 11.3%.

T-HT said the service’s growth was boosted by a new option that allowed customers to sign up without subscribing to the operator’s broadband services.

Deutsche Telekom-owned T-HT had 492,989 ADSL customers at the end of the first quarter, up 167.9% year-on-year. Internet service revenues rose by 29.3% to HRK272m (€36.8m) and now represent 21.7% of all revenues, according to the operator.
