Virgin going round the clock on Freeview

The Virgin1 UK general entertainment channel will be available round the clock from May 20 after its owners Virgin Media Television agreed a new deal with ITV-owned multiplex operator SDN.

The channel currently airs for 12 hours a day. Virgin will also launch a Virgin1+1 service. Troubled UK commercial broadcaster ITV said last week that it wants to sell SDN.
