TeleColumbus and PrimaCom add new channels

German cable operators TeleColumbus and PrimaCom have expanded their digital TV offering with the addition of 14 new channels.

The operators, both of which are owned by the Orion Cable Group, are using two additional transponders from satellite operator Eutelsat to enable them to broadcast additional channels and to launch HDTV and interactive services. Customers taking the basic package can now receive 73 channels.
