Virgin signs VOD deals

UK cable operator Virgin Media is bulking up its video-on-demand service after striking a range of content and technology deals.

The operator has renewed its deal with Seachange International-owned TV technology company On Demand Group to provide management services and back end support for its VOD platform. This comes as Virgin Media has also struck a deal with CBS Paramount and pay-TV network FX to air series three of Showtime horror drama Dexter in high definition via the service. The show will be available at the end of April.
