Universal Pictures has announced the launch of a new subscription
on-demand service called TVBox on UK digital-terrestrial pay-TV
platform Top Up TV. TVBox launched yesterday within Top Up TVs Anytime bouquet of services. It provides a range of current and library TV series from NBC UniversalÂs library of more than 55,000 television episodes. Content featured on TVBox includes episodes from the Law & Order brand, Friday Night Lights, Monk, Quantum Leap, Rockford Files, Miami Vice and Columbo.
TVBox will be offered alongside Universal Pictures film on-demand service PictureBox, which launched on Top Up TV in 2006 and has since been made available in Poland and Singapore as well as on other UK platforms.
