TeliaSonera grows IPTV customer base

Nordic telco TeliaSonera, which operates in Sweden, Finland, Denmark
and Latvia, had 839,000 TV customers at the end of September, including
450,000 IPTV customers. In Sweden, TeliaSonera had 320,000 IPTV customers, up 100,000 year-on-year, with about half being pay-TV subscribers. Overall, the company’s pay-TV base grew by 23,000 in the third quarter, although the figure for Sweden, its largest market, remained flat.

The operator reported revenues of SEK25.8bn (EUR2.6bn) for the quarter, up from SEK24.8bn last year. EBITDA excluding non-recurring items was SEK8.9bn, up from SEK8.7bn.

In addition to IPTV, TeliaSonera also owns Danish cable operator Stofa.
