French cable operator Numericable is to provide broadband service
provider Darty with access to its fibre-to-the-building network. The move follows Numericables announcement in September that, with its sister company Completel, it was creating an Âoperator division to market access to its network to third-party service providers on a white-label basis.
Darty will use NumericableÂs network to offer internet, telephony, TV and video-on-demand services to subscribers.Â
Numericable CEO Pierre Danon said that the opening of NumericableÂs infrastructure to virtual network operators would extend consumer choice and competition.
