Numericable to provide white-label access to fibre to Darty

French cable operator Numericable is to provide broadband service
provider Darty with access to its fibre-to-the-building network. The move follows Numericable’s announcement in September that, with its sister company Completel, it was creating an ‘operator division’ to market access to its network to third-party service providers on a white-label basis.

Darty will use Numericable’s network to offer internet, telephony, TV and video-on-demand services to subscribers. 

Numericable CEO Pierre Danon said that the opening of Numericable’s infrastructure to virtual network operators would extend consumer choice and competition.
