Netflix plans German launch

NetflixBuilding4Netflix is gearing up for a September launch in Germany, according to a report by German tech site Curved.de.

Though Netflix has not commented publicly on the plans, the report claims that Netflix is planning a large-scale ad campaign in Germany to tie in with a September launch.

Netflix is already rumoured to be launching in France this Autumn, and said in its Q4 2013 earnings announcement in January that it planned to “embark on a substantial European expansion” later this year.

In Europe, Netflix is currently available in the UK and Ireland, the Nordics and the Netherlands.
