Users will be able to access the service via the LG webOS 2.0 platform from the beginning of 2016, with Molotov promising a “new, connected and fully customisable way to watch television”.

Molotov offers users live TV access and a “catch-up” service from any device, and lets users bookmark and discover programmes.

“Our partnership with LG is a significant step forward in achieving the vision of Molotov. Our goal is to reinvigorate the television viewer’s experience through distribution to connected devices,” said Molotov co-founder JeanDavid Blanc.

Molotov was first launched in June and will initially be available in the French market, distributing more than 80 local and international channels.
