HBO launches package on Polish OTT TV service Ipla

Cyfrowy Polsat-owned OTT TV platform Ipla has added an HBO package to its offering as part of an overall revamp of the service that sees the launch of a new user interface with additional search functionality.

Ipla is now offering an HBO package comprising five channels. The service will offer HBO HD, HBO 2, HD, HBO 3 HD, Cinemax HD and Cinemas 2 HD along with four AXN channels – AXN HD, AXN Spin HD, AXN Black and AXN White. The package will also offer access to an on-demand catalogue of 5,000 titles.

The HBO channels will air content including Westworld along with HBO Polish originals Pakt and Wataha. On-demand titles available will include Game of Thrones, The Sopranos and Babylon Berlin.

The HBO package will cost PLN35 (€8.40) a month.

Two other packages have been added to the Ipla offering: Ipla Extra Premier an Ipla TV.

The former replaces the previous Ipla Extra package and provides access to Polsat shows including Przyjaciółka, Pierwsza miłość and W rytmie serca before they are aired on linear TV. The package is available for PLN10 or for PLN5 to customers of mobile service Plus.

Ipla TV – the basic offering of the OTT TV service – comprises 87 channels including Polsat Sports HD and Eursoport 1 HD, Polsat News HD, Comedy Central, Kino Polska, Epic Drama HD, AXN HD Lifetime HD, Polsat Play HD, BBC Brit, Discovery Channel HD, Disney Channel and many others. The service costs PLN50 for the first three months and PLN60 thereafter. Discounts are available for Cyfrowy Polsat and Plus customers.

The new additions join existing packages Ipla Sport, Ipla Films and Series, Ipla Kids, Ipla Knowledge and News and Eleven Sports.
