TV2U to launch white label OTT service, 4G set-top box

Over-the-top media services company TV2U is set to launch a white label OTT service and has announced plans for a multimedia 4G set-top box.

TV2U logoThe company said it is on-course to launch the white label OTT service in partnership with US-based content delivery specialist, StackPath.

This follows a successful proof of concept deployment in late 2017 of its IVAN-X content management middleware.

On the set-top box front, TV2U said that field trials are now set to take place of its fully-certified OTT Multimedia and Connected Home 4G Set Top Box.

The technology for the set-top box was developed last year in partnership with Huawei and Xunison.

“We’re pleased to be taking steps towards launching our pioneering STB, which is set to significant cost efficiencies due to its compatibility with a multitude of smart home devices,” said Nick Fitzgerald, executive chairman, TV2U.
