Freeview Play now on over half of smart HD TV sales

Freeview Play on Panasonic Image SideTVs with Freeview Play now account for over half of all smart HD TV sales in the UK, according to the free-to-view digital-terrestrial platform.

According to Freeview, 55% of smart HD TVs sold in June were Freeview Play-enabled, up 20 percentage points since January. The DTT platform’s on-demand service is available on over 20 brands and is, according to Freeview, the most widely adopted catch-up TV service my manufacturers in the UK.

Freeview said that further partner announcements would be made later this year.
