CVMultimedia taps Beenius and Broadpeak for video service

Cabo Verde-based service provider CVMultimedia has turned to Slovenia-based middleware provider Beenius and CDN specialist Broadpeak to upgrade its video infrastructure.

The company has turned to Beenius to provide a system to support Interactive TV platform based on its end-to-end system integration expertise and its ability to support new business cases and advanced functionalities, according to the Ljubljana-based outfit.

For CVMultimedia’s existing user base, Beenius provided an IPTV and OTT service with extended functionalities including catch-up TV, social media integration, t-commerce and video-on-demand (TVOD and SVOD) services.

According to Beenius, its ability to deliver from one management system both IPTV and OTT services was key to winning the contract. CVMultimedia has turned to Broadpeak to provide Quality of Experience for live, VOD and catch-up TV services delivery. Through Broadpeak’s CDN solution, CVMultimedia can deliver live, VOD, and catch-up TV services, with quality of service (QoS) for subscribers on all screens, according to the company.

Beenius and Broadpeak worked together to enable the replacement of the existing middleware of CVMultimedia.
