RTL Netherlands appoints CTO

Giovanni Piccirilli

RTL Netherlands has appointed the former chief technology officer of UPC Netherlands and Ziggo, Giovanni Piccirilli, as CTO.

Piccirilli will take up his new post and take a place on the RTL board from June 1, and has been tasked with expanding RTL’s customer focus, product quality and time-to-market.

Piccirilli was CTO and board member at UPC Netherlands / Ziggo between 2013 and 2015 and before that was VP of network engineering at Liberty Global, based in the Netherlands.

Prior to joining RTL, he was a senior advisor at Accenture and before that founded his own tech company called Pepper Technology.
