Liberty Global’s Dutch unit rebrands Horizon as Ziggo Go

ZiggoLiberty Global’s Dutch unit Ziggo, is rebranding the company’s products, including the Horizon advanced TV service, with its own name.

Horizon Go, the mobile version of the platform, will be the first to change its name, becoming Ziggo Go, with a new app available for download from November 9.

The Horizon.tv portal will become ziggogo.tv as part of the change.

Other products will follow. MyPrime will become Ziggo Movies & Series as of January 1. Ziggo will also introduce Ziggo Movies & Series XL, comprising Ziggo Movies & Seriues and the 55 additional channels – a package formerly marketed as TV Royaal, which includes Ziggo’s new line-up of HBO content.

The latter will replace the HBO channels that were aired on the platform via the joint venture between Liberty and HBO but which are set to close down at the end of this year.

Mariette Leenhouts, VP of brand, communications, media and sponsorship, said that the change was “an important step” towards creating a brand portfolio that was “more focused on the Dutch market”.
