UPC Slovakia extends triple-play services to Galante

Liberty Global-owned cable operator UPC Slovakia has launched digital triple-play services in the town of Galante.

The move, which is part of a general upgrade of the operator’s networks in western Slovakia, will give the town’s residents access to digital cable TV, the Horizon Go advanced mobile TV service, high-speed internet and telephony.

Residents of Galante, which is about 50km East of the country’s capital Bratislava, will be able to view a digital TV package of about 170 channels, including HD programming.
