UPC Czech Republic adds new entertainment channel

Liberty Global-owned cable operator UPC Czech Republic is adding new general entertainment channel Prima Max HD to its service.

The channel, which will launch on Friday, will by Prima Group’s fifth channel and will include a significant proportion of international movies such as The Wolf of Wall Street in its schedule.

Prima CEO Marek Singer said that the channel would complement the group’s existing offering as part of its multichannel strategy.

In addition to Prima Max HD, which will feature in its Klasick, Komfort and Komplet packages, UPC Czech Republic will also add three other HD services to its offering – Prima Love HD, Telka HD and Smíchov HD.
