KPN’s DTT base fell by 20% year-on-year to 426,000.
KPN said its IPTV net adds of 64,000 gave it a TV market share of 28%. Triple-play net additions for the quarter to June were 61,000, giving it 54% triple-play penetration of its broadband base. Fixed-mobile bundles are now taken by 608,000 customers, or 21% of KPN’s broadband base.
The results follow the launch of what KPN describes as the next phase in its TV roadmap, focusing on aggregation through partnerships. The operator has expanded or entered into partnership with content providers including Endemol Shine, Eredivisie and Spotify to provide content across multiple devices.
