Scripps to transition to MPEG-4 HD on Cyfrowy Polsat

Scripps Networks UK & EMEA is to make its channels on the Cyfrowy Polsat platform in Poland available in HD only and is switching to the MPEG-4 compression format.

Polsat Food Network HD and Travel Channel HD will replace the current SD versions of the channel on the Cyfrowy Polsat platform from October 1. The SD versions of the channels will continue to be avavilable to cable network via PLIX, the Polish commercial internet exchange point.
