KPN sees strong IPTV growth

Dutch telco KPN saw its IPTV base grow by 18% in the year to March, ending the quarter with 2.13 million IPTV customers over its DSL and FTTH networks. However, overall TV growth was a more modest 7.6% thanks to a decline in its digital-terrestrial base of 18% to 454,000.

IPTV ARPU remained unchanged at €15. KPN saw its triple-play base rise by 16% to 1.464 million, and triple-play customers now account for 52% of the operator’s overall base, up from 46% a year ago.

KPN’s activated FTTH base grew by 22% over the course of the year to 612,000.
