Liberty Global’s Nair named as SCTE programme chair

Liberty Global chief technology officer Balan Nair has been named as programme committee chairman for the next US SCTE Cable-Tec Expo, due to take place from October 13-16 next year in New Orleans. 

Nair will be responsible for driving the creation of the Cable-Tec Expo 2015 programme, including the development of educational content that will accelerate global deployment of next-generation products and services, as well as the subject matter for an October 13 pre-conference symposium. He succeeds Tony Werner, executive vice-president and CTO of Comcast Cable, as programme committee chair.
