Nick Jr and Nicktoons debut in Africa

Viacom has launched kids channels Nick Jr and Nicktoons in Africa for the first time on MultiChoice’s DStv platform and has extended the reach of entertainment channel BET International.

Nick Jr will be available on the DStv Premium package in South Africa, while Nicktoons will be available via DSTv Family, Compact, Extra and Premium packages.

BET International is meanwhile extending its reach by joining the DStv Family, Compact, Extra and Premium packages.

“Our DStv customers will no doubt be delighted that BET International is finally available on their screens. And kids will be entertained for hours with the great shows on Nick Jr and Nicktoons. We want to add channels that fill a gap in our entertainment offering and that we know our customers will love to watch,” said Aletta Alberts, general manager for content for MultiChoice.
