CaribBe TV goes live in the UK

CaribBeCaribBe TV, a multimedia platform offering a variety of Caribbean programmes, has gone live in the UK.

CaribBe TV will provide a variety of TV channels streamed live over the web, offering programming that spans news, sports, current affairs, comedy, entertainment, music, lifestyle, culture, education and fashion.

The venture will run in collaboration with technology partner Cloudio TV and is aimed at the Caribbean/West Indian Diaspora in the UK, along with anyone that “appreciates Caribbean culture.”

“The Caribbean/West Indian community accounts for 12% of the overall population, in particular in metropolitan areas in the South East and Northern England, and is one of the longest settled communities in the UK. Despite the high number of first, second and third generation West Indians who call the UK home, there is still a distinct lack of quality TV programming from the Caribbean, unlike programming on offer for African and Asian communities,” said CaribBe TV.

CaribBe is a registered trademark of Caribbean Media Partners, a limited company founded last year in London, as part of the Caribbean Media Partners’ (CMP) inter-regional network.
