European Commission resumes Liberty Global review

ZiggoThe European Commission has reportedly resumed its review of Liberty Global’s planned takeover of Dutch cable operator Ziggo, after temporarily putting a hold on proceedings earlier this month.

At the beginning of August the EC said it had paused its review after “new facts” came to light and that it was awaiting additional information from Liberty Global.

The commission now says it will decide whether to approve the deal by November 3. It had previously said it would rule on the deal by October 17.
