Eutelsat targets Asia-Pacific with new satellite

Eutelsat is set to “significantly scale up its presence in the Asia-Pacific region” with a new high-capacity triple mission satellite. 

The Eutelsat 172B satellite is due to launch in 2017 at 172° east and will follow-on from Eutelsat 172A, providing continuity and expanded capacity at this orbital location.

Eutelsat said that satellite will support “sustained demand for capacity for data, fixed and mobile broadband services as well as video” in the Asia-Pacific region.
