VimpelCom opens up mobile TV app to all networks

Russian service provider VimpelCom, which operates under the Beeline brand, has opened up its mobile Beeline TV app up to all mobile operators’ network ahead of the football World Cup.

According to VimpelCom, users can now access Beeline TV content, including the Sport1 HD service via the 3G, 4G or WiFi networks of any service provider in Russia.

The app will be available as a free add on to Beeline’s basic package between June 12 and July 13 as part of a promotional drive, after which the cost of the service will be RUB50 (€1.07), with 13 channels available free-to-view. The full Advanced package with 88 channels is available for RUB230.

The Sport1HD service will be added to the basic package for the duration of the World Cup.
