Sky Go adds ITV channel line-up

Sky’s mobile service Sky Go has added UK terrestrial broadcaster ITV’s channel line-up to its service for the first time.

ITV, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4 and CITV all join Sky Go ahead of the football World Cup, which kicks off in Brazil this month, allowing Sky viewers to catch ITV’s coverage of the event on the go.

Sky said that ITV’s new drama channel, ITV Encore, will also be available on Sky Go after it launches in the UK on June 9.

In addition, viewers will be able to access some ITV drama box-set content on-demand, with more on-demand content from other ITV channels to be added later in the year.

“Sky Go is home to the widest range of channels available anywhere our customers are, and reaching the milestone of over 60 live channels is a huge achievement. We are really excited to offer ITV channels on Sky Go as we know there can be a fight for the remote when a big summer of sport kicks off. Whether people want to catch the football – or take refuge from it – this gives our customers even more flexibility to enjoy the TV they love, on their terms,” said Sky’s director of TV products, Luke Bradley-Jones.

Sky said that Sky Go customers in the UK can now watch up to 63 channels with a compatible mobile, tablet or laptop. As of the end of March 2014, Sky Go had over 3.7 million unique users, up 13% year-on-year.
