Sky Italia partners with Inside Secure and Thomson

Sky Italia has signed a premium content security agreement with Inside Secure and Thomson Video Networks. 

Sky will use Thomson’s ViBE VS7000 multiscreen video solution integrated with connected device security provider Inside Secure’s Downloadable DRM Fusion Agent.

“By combining Inside Secure’s studio-approved DRM Fusion Agent with Thomson Video Networks’ widely-adopted ViBE VS7000 multiscreen solution, we have removed a major obstacle that has hampered Web TV and OTT operators from delivering quality experiences to their customers.

“We believe bringing stronger security and capabilities combined with a superior TV experience for viewers will open up new opportunities for players needing to stream or download offline content,” said Eric Gallier, vice president of marketing at Thomson Video Networks.
