Top-level management changes at Sat.1

Ex-Blazhoffski CEO Taco Ketelaar and RTL Croatia programming chief Kaspar Pflueger are joining German channel Sat.1 as part of a top level restructuring.

ProSiebenSat.1 Media-owned Sat.1 has named a new top team that will operate under managing director Nicolas Paalzow. Within this, Ketelaar becomes senior VP, primetime entertainment on February 1, while Pflueger will join him a month later as deputy head of Sat.1 broadcasting.

Before they join, Marc Rasmus, who is currently general manager of thematic net Sat.1 Gold, will become deputy head of Sat.1 from January 1.

Ketelaar will oversee Sat.1’s primetime entertainment and reality formats and replaces Mischa Zuckler, who exited in August. Sat.1 reality TV Karin Thoma and event programming VP Mario Kristl will report into him.

Ketelaar left Blazhoffski earlier this year, nearly two years after Warner Bros. International Television Production acquired the Dutch producer. He’s also known as a co-founder of distributor 2waytraffic and for holding roles at Endemol.

Pflueger has been director of programmes at RTL Hrvatska (RTL Croatia) since 2010 following a spell as controller of daytime at then RTL-owned UK broadcaster Channel 5. Sat.1. Katrin Stockhaus and Katja Bruhnke-Kircher will now report into him as VPs.
