CTC Media makes TV, transmedia exec hires

Russia’s CTC Media has appointed former NTV presenter Alexey Pivovarov as director, television and transmedia projects.

Pivovarov takes up his new post on November 5, with the hire marking efforts by CTC to focus on developing digital and transmedia projects.

At the same time, CTC has hired a string of other execs – Irina Sosnovaya who will serve as deputy director, television and transmedia projects and Kirill Kulagin, Stanislav Miroshnichenko, and Ivan Vdovin, who have been appointed as line producers.

All will start on the same day as Pivovarov, with the team to be responsible for creating concepts for CTC Media’s cross-platform development and integrating television projects with digital media.

Pivovarov worked for Russia’s NTV Channel from 1993 to 2013, as correspondent for its Namedni program. He was also presenter for the programs Today, Country and World and Aviators.
