Orange Cinéma Séries launches ‘new generation’ with OCS City and Go

OCS-Nouvelle-GénérationFrance’s Orange Cinéma Séries has launched its ‘new generation’ offering, including two entirely new services – OCS City and OCS Go.

OCS City is Orange Cinéma Séries’ vehicle for HBO shows including True Blood, Boardwalk Empire, Girls and Game of Thrones. The channel replaces the previous OCS Happy service, which will now be merged with OCS Max in a single channel.

OCS Go is a TV everywhere service available on tablets, smartphones and other devices. OCS Go displaces OCS Géants from its slot on the Orange TV EPG, with the latter replacing the now defunct OCS Novo on channel 49. OCS Go will make all current HBO series available as well as catalogue titles including the Sopranos, The Wire, Six Feet Under and Bored to Death. In total up to 150 movies and 450 series episodes are currently available.

The Orange Cinéma Séries offering will now comprise four services – OCS Max, OCS City, OCS Géants and OCS Go. The service is available for €12 a month on Orange TV, CanalSat, SFR, Parabole Réunion and Tahiti NUI Satellite.

French cable operator Numericable has also announced it is to carry the service from today, with a promotional offer of €1 a month for the first two months. It is also offering OCS in combination with beIN Sport, again for an introductory price of €1 for the first two months.
