DVEO to demo video traffic shaping technology

Quality assurance specialist DVEO is to use IBC to demonstrate its IP video traffic shaping technology, DOZER.

The technology is available in a system as the DOZERbox, and as a software licence, the Media Dozer: LIC.
The DOZERbox and Media Dozer: LIC route video through ‘bulldozing’ through slow and congested routers, according to DVEO.

The DOZERbox and Media Dozer: LIC offer distribution of MPEG-2 or H.264 SPTS or MPTS transport streams over average quality internet backbones, according to the company.  It says that the DOZERbox gateways, typically sold in pairs, are more cost effective than private point to point internet connections and stream through most firewalls.  The Media Dozer: LIC application software is available as an add-on for DVEO’s encoder and gateway appliances, including the Proxicaster, MultiStreamer, MPEG Gearbox, MultiStreamer Brutus, MPEG Magnus, and D-Streamer product lines.  It is also available as a licence for customers’ own devices.
