Sky Deutschland expands third-party HD offerings

Sky Deutschland is expanding the number of HD channels it is making available via third-party operators.

From today, Kabel BW customers taking Sky services can receive Fox HD, TNT Serie HD and Disney Channel HD in additional to the existing offering. Unitymedia’s service from Sky will see the addition of nine HD channels during November. They include Discovery HD, National Geographic HD, Nat Geo Wild HD, Sky Sports HD Extra, Disney Cinemagic HD, Disney Channel HD, Fox HD, TNT Serie HD and Sky Hits HD.

Ronald Fiedler, vice-president commercial distribution Sky Deutschland, said “This is great news for all cable customers in Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia and Baden-Württemberg. From now on they can experience more Sky programmes in HD. Whether movies, sports, documentaries or TV shows – in HD it will be an unforgettable entertainment experience.”
