WOWtv on Samsung Smart TV and Galaxy devices

Asian broadband content provider M2B, which operates under the WOWtv brand, has teamed up with Samsung to provide content to over 130 countries via Samsung Smart TVs and mobile devices.

WOWtv content will be available on 2011 and 2012 Samsung Smart TV models and Samsung Galaxy devices via a dedicated app. M2B owns rights to over 5,000 movie titles across all platforms and also provides daily Hollywood entertainment news. The company also has sole distribution rights for the Videofashion label in the Asia Pacific region.

M2B’s managing director and CEO Percy Chua Soo Lian said: “Connected TV and Smart mobile devices are the future of television. This opens up great business opportunities by tapping onto the growing internet connectivity in the Asia Pacific region. With Samsung’s cornering of the Smart TV market in populous countries like Indonesia and India, both the parties sees profitability in bundled contents. M2B with its worldwide content rights is able to expand together worldwide.”
