One in five Lithuanians still watching analogue

With less than a month left until digital switchover in Lithuania, some 200,000 households are still using analogue terrestrial reception, according to a survey carried out for leading telco Teo.

The survey found that 19% of homes were still watching analogue TV in August, down from 21% in June, with only 20,000 making the move to digital in the interim. In rural areas analogue TV is still being used by up to one third of households.

Lithuania is scheduled to complete its digital transition by October 29.
