Sundance Channel signs Spain and Romania deals

Sundance Channel is expanding its European distribution after parent company AMC/Sundance Channel Global signed deals in Spain and Romania.

The general entertainment channel has launched in HD on Spanish cable platform Euskaltel as part of the TVD100 package and in standard definition and HD on UPC Romania’s network in the Digital Maxim HD and Digital HD packages.

“Both the Romanian and Spanish markets are key regions for the continued expansion of Sundance Channel in Europe,” said Bruce Tuchman, president, AMC/Sundance Channel Global. “These exciting partnerships reflect the growing demand for Sundance Channel and we are confident that audiences will respond to the critically acclaimed, high-quality, HD film and TV programming found on our network.”
