Zone Romantica switches to Chello DMC for playout

Liberty Global-owned playout provider Chello DMC has been selected to provide playout and distribution services for Chello Zone’s female-oriented Zone Romantica channel. From August 1 Chello DMC will distribute the channel in standard definition to 21 countries via the Telstar 12 satellite.

The channel will carry Russian and Czech audio and will be subtitled in Croatian, Slovakian and Bulgarian with additional languages to be added as the channel expands its distribution.

Zone Romantica is currently distributed on Sirius but will move to Telstar 12 with around 800 downlink sites migrating to the new satellite. Zone Romantica is currently played out by Arqiva.
