Media Broadcast launches cable headend service

Media Broadcast (Stand D34) has launched a new cable headened service, featuring over 250 TV and radio channels.

The core of the project is a central headend in Media Broadcast’s earth station in Usingen. This is where the central signal contribution and processing of the programmes delivered by satellite or digital cable takes place. The transmission of the complete bouquet to network operators is carried out via Media Broadcast’s Broadcast NGN. The local signal transfer takes place at specific interfaces of the Broadcast NGN.

In addition, it is planning to develop local headends and to support regional network cabling as part of is service offering.

Media Broadcast plans to deliver headend services from autumn.
