Canal Plus names new i>Télé editorial chief

Canal Plus Group has named Céline Pigalle as editorial director of news channel i>Télé.

Pigalle, who worked in senior positions at radio service Europe 1 before joining Canal Plus in 2011, replaces Albert Ripamonti, who left earlier this month following the January appointment of Cécilia Ragueneau as CEO. I-Télé has struggled to grow its audience against competition from rival service BFM TV, owned by NextRadioTV.
