Macedonia moves forward with digitisation

Macedonia is awarding the licence to roll out digital-terrestrial TV in the country to Veselin LLC, the sole company to bid.

The company has until June 1 next year to migrate all TV stations in Macedonia to digital. The Macedonian government is reportedly to distribute some 40,000 set-tops to low-income families to help them through the migration.
